Senior QA Engineer

Transport Exchange Group (TEG) is looking for a Senior QA Engineer to join our Quality Assurance team in the Exchange Product. In this critical role, you will help ensure the quality, stability, and performance of our SaaS platform and mobile application, through expert testing, automation, and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Senior QA Engineer, you will:

• Be a key member of the QA team ensuring the quality and reliability of TEG’s mobile apps and SaaS platforms.
• Take ownership of testing deliverables to guarantee they are fit for use by our customers.
• Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team that values modern software practices and continuous improvement.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all tests and processes.
• Conduct both manual and automated testing, identifying and closing coverage gaps.
• Build and maintain test automation frameworks from scratch for web applications.
• Validate RESTful APIs, web services, and mobile applications using tools such as Postman and SwaggerUI.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and designers to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
• Investigate production incidents, perform root cause analysis, and ensure successful release validation.
• Contribute to the QA Guild, sharing best practices and driving quality improvements across teams.

Proven Experience Required:

• BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years’ experience in both manual and automation testing, ideally in a Senior QA or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Java programming and Selenium, including experience implementing the Page Object Model design pattern.
• Proven experience building and maintaining test automation frameworks from scratch.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins and GitHub.
• Deep understanding of client-server architecture, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
• Proficiency in SQL, with the ability to write and execute queries.
• Understanding of JSON objects and the ability to manipulate them for testing.
• Familiarity with database management tools such as DBeaver, Chrome Browser toolbox, or Tariff Sniffer.
• Experience working in Agile environments with a strong knowledge of test case management and defect tracking tools.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organisational skills.
• Proven ability to work independently, prioritise effectively, and deliver results under pressure.

General Experience Required:

• Experience in security testing and contract testing.
• Knowledge of building CI/CD pipelines for post-deployment verification.
• Experience using Confluence, JIRA, and X-Ray Test Management Tool.

Pay: Up to ₹3,500,000.00 per year
