Senior Property Accountant

As a Senior Property Accountant at Enhancor, you will be responsible for handling accounting functions associated with residential and commercial real estate properties. Your primary duties will involve collaborating with accounting and property management teams to ensure the accurate completion of month-end close procedures, account reconciliations, and budget analyses for various properties. Your responsibilities will include reviewing monthly Income Statements and Variance Reports, preparing and reviewing Balance sheet accounts, reviewing monthly Workpapers, and assisting in the preparation of audit support. You will work closely with other departments to maintain precise records and offer accounting support. Additionally, you will be assessing internal controls, conducting risk assessments, and reviewing risk areas to ensure compliance. You will also play a key role in budget and reforecast preparation, including inputting/importing Budget Data into Yardi. Other tasks will involve preparing annual TC201s and RPIEs as necessary, gathering lease information for calculating Real Estate Tax escalations and other escalations, reviewing tenant billings for accuracy, accounting for construction activity and capital improvements, and ensuring compliance with reporting deadlines on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Furthermore, you may be required to assist in various projects as needed. To qualify for this role, you should hold a bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field. Possessing a CA/CMA Inter certification would be an added advantage. You must have a minimum of 5-8 years of overall experience, with at least 3 years of experience in residential real estate accounting. Knowledge of affordable housing is beneficial. Experience in commercial real estate with GAAP accounting is preferred. Attention to detail is crucial for this position, as well as the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of the company and external parties.,
