Senior Project Engineer

Role Overview: As a Project Engineering professional at Emerson, you will play a key role in assisting project managers in Asia Pacific and Fisher Chennai Engineering Center. Your primary responsibility will be to support project managers in project execution and ensure timely delivery. Key Responsibilities: - Distribute work, monitor progress, and resolve issues under the guidance of a Project Manager - Assist and lead in the execution of KOB1/KOB2 projects - Own the overall project execution schedule and ensure on-time delivery - Attend post-award meetings and collaborate with various departments to input customer order requirements accurately - Direct project personnel for sequential processing of project items - Monitor project progress, submit milestone status reports, and provide follow-up and expediting to departments - Coordinate submission and receipt of approval for project deliverables - Ensure project invoicing is completed per contractual agreements and resolve invoicing discrepancies - Implement activities required for change order processing - Interface with various departments within Fisher to resolve issues related to project execution - Function as the Project Manager for Tier2 projects at a senior level - Provide additional support for project-related requirements as directed by the Project Manager Qualifications Required: - In-depth knowledge of control valve products and Bill of material processing - Minimum 4 years of experience in control valves engineering - Good understanding of product specifications and Incoterms - Awareness of other Emerson products & Good knowledge of Inactive/obsolete/Competitor products - Degree in Mechanical/Instrumentation/Chemical/Metallurgical Engineering - Strong interpersonal skills - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills - Ability to develop and present innovative solutions for problems - Optimizes work processes and improves performance metrics Additional Company Details (If applicable): Emerson prioritizes a workplace where every employee is valued, respected, and empowered to grow.
