  4. Experience in developing and executing procurement strategies.
  5. Ability to manage teams and collaborate across different departments.
  6. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. 

Responsibilities

  1. Strategic development-

    Develop, implement, and manage procurement strategies, policies, and procedures that align with business goals. 
  2. Supplier management-

    Identify, evaluate, and select new suppliers, and build and maintain strong, strategic relationships with existing ones. 
  3. Negotiation-

    Lead contract and tender negotiations to secure favorable terms, pricing, and service level agreements. 
  4. Cost and risk management-

    Analyze market trends to find cost-saving opportunities, monitor spending, and develop strategies to mitigate supply chain risks. 
  5. Team leadership-

    Manage, mentor, and motivate the procurement team, delegating tasks and overseeing performance. 
  6. Compliance-

    Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and relevant laws. 
  7. Internal collaboration-

    Work with other departments, such as finance and operations, to understand their needs and ensure the procurement process is efficient and aligned with demand. 
  8. Performance monitoring-

    Monitor and report on procurement activities, supplier performance, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
