Senior PLC Programmer

As a Senior PLC Programmer at Goose Industrial Solutions, you will be joining our automation team with a focus on designing, developing, and implementing PLC programs for industrial automation projects. Your role will involve configuring and programming HMIs/SCADA systems, conducting site commissioning, troubleshooting, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure system integration. Your expertise in optimizing control processes and documenting programming details will contribute to improving system performance and reliability. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and implement PLC programs for industrial automation projects. - Configure and program HMIs/SCADA systems in coordination with PLC logic. - Conduct site commissioning, troubleshooting, and support during and after project deployment. - Read and interpret electrical drawings, control panel layouts, and technical documentation. - Collaborate with design, electrical, and mechanical teams to ensure system integration. - Optimize control processes to improve system performance and reliability. - Document programming and configuration details for future maintenance and updates. - Provide training and technical support to end-users and maintenance staff. Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Instrumentation, or a related field. - Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in PLC programming (Siemens, Allen Bradley, etc). Required Skills: - Strong understanding of industrial automation, process control systems, and communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP, etc.). - Experience with HMI/SCADA platforms such as WinCC, Wonderware, or FactoryTalk is highly preferred. - Ability to travel to project sites when required. - Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability. - Good communication and team coordination skills.
