Senior PHP Developer

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Senior PHP Developer with strong technical expertise in PHP frameworks and

backend systems. While experience in the BFSI domain is a plus, it is not mandatory. The ideal

candidate will be responsible for developing secure, high-performance web applications and APIs

that serve enterprise-grade clients, including those in banking, finance, and insurance sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain scalable PHP applications and backend systems.

Write clean, secure, and efficient code using PHP and modern frameworks (Laravel, Symfony,

CodeIgniter, etc.).

Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, and financial tools.

Collaborate with product, UI/UX, and QA teams to deliver high-quality features.

Participate in system architecture discussions and help define coding standards.

Conduct code reviews, provide technical mentorship, and ensure best practices.

Ensure data security, performance optimization, and scalability.

Stay updated with latest technologies, security standards, and industry trends.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.

5+ years of hands-on experience with PHP development.

Strong knowledge of MVC frameworks like Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter.

Proficient in database design and query optimization (MySQL/PostgreSQL).

Experience working with RESTful APIs and third-party integrations.

Knowledge of version control systems like Git.

Understanding of secure coding practices and backend performance tuning.

Familiarity with front-end basics (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).

Preferred (Not Mandatory):

Exposure to BFSI domain projects (banking, finance, or insurance).

Experience working with financial platforms, transaction systems, or payment processing.

Knowledge of industry compliance standards (e.g., PCI-DSS, ISO 27001).

Familiarity with tools like Docker, CI/CD pipelines, or cloud platforms (AWS/GCP).

Experience in Agile development environments.
