Job Description

Senior PHP Developer (Strong Database Expertise)

Experience: 4+ years

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior PHP Developer with a strong background in database design, optimization, and management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing high-quality web applications, maintaining and enhancing existing systems, and ensuring robust data structures to support scalability and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, test, and maintain high-performance, scalable PHP-based applications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features.
Design and optimize complex relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar).
Write efficient SQL queries and stored procedures for large-scale data operations.
Ensure data integrity and security through effective architecture and code practices.
Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers.
Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing applications.
Implement best practices for database backups, disaster recovery, and performance tuning.
Work with DevOps to support deployment and CI/CD pipelines.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Strong proficiency in PHP 7+ (OOP, MVC frameworks like Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter).
Deep experience with relational databases (MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL).
Strong understanding of database normalization, indexing, and performance tuning.
Experience with ORM tools (Eloquent, Doctrine, etc.).
Solid understanding of RESTful API development and integration.
Familiarity with version control systems (Git).
Good understanding of security best practices (e.g., SQL injection prevention, data encryption).
Experience with caching strategies (Redis, Memcached) is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good Communication skills .

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, etc.) is a plus.
Familiarity with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to ₹60,000.00 per month
