Senior PHP Developer

As a Senior PHP Programmer/Developer at SPX Management Pvt Ltd, you will have the opportunity to contribute to various aspects of software development. Your responsibilities will include reviewing delivery dates and work requirements, collaborating with cross-functional teams, bug fixing, mentoring team members, providing task estimates, analyzing, coding, and testing software, participating in code reviews, adhering to predefined standards, debugging, documenting, and reporting project status in an agile environment. Additionally, you will be expected to contribute ideas to project planning. Key Responsibilities: - Review existing delivery dates and work requirements, analyze alternatives, and communicate options - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features - Work on bug fixing and improving application performance - Mentor other team members - Provide accurate estimates for tasks - Proactively analyze, clarify, code, and unit test software - Participate in code reviews - Develop software to predefined standards and specifications - Perform functional analysis and debugging - Write and update documentation - Work to meet project schedules and deadlines - Report status in an agile environment - Contribute ideas to project planning Primary Skill Set Required: - Good understanding of software development life cycle and Agile/iterative methodology - 3+ years of experience in back-end development using PHP and PostgreSQL and front-end development using HTML5, CSS, jQuery, Bootstrap - Exposure to MVC frameworks like Zend, Laravel, CodeIgniter, CakePHP, etc. - Deep understanding of object-oriented design patterns and principles in web-based business applications - Strong knowledge in PostgreSQL, MySQL, MSSQ - Experience working with third-party libraries, APIs, social APIs, and APIs for mobile applications - Web service integration experience (SOAP, REST, JSON, XML) - Experience with n-tier architectures - Experience with application caching techniques and technologies - Experience with development tools such as IDEs and Git version control Key Skills Required: - Core PHP - Codeigniter - Laravel - Zend Framework - PostgreSQL - MySql - MVC Qualifications Required: - UG: B.Tech / B.E (CS / IT) - PG: M.Sc.(CS), MCA Please note that this job is Full-time and Permanent with the work location being in-person at Dindigul.
