Role Overview

The Indian Science, Technology and Engineering Facilities Map (I-STEM) is seeking a Senior Operational cum Program Manager to lead multiple national-level initiatives. This role will focus on developing and managing Catalyst Centres, implementing Accredited Catalyst Centres, driving cluster collaborations, and strengthening Ambassador engagement across India.

The ideal candidate will be a woman leader with a strong academic background in Science or Engineering, 4–8 years of operational experience, and a proven track record of implementing large- scale projects across diverse regions of India. The position requires a strategic thinker with hands-on execution capability, ensuring measurable outcomes and sustainable growth for I-STEM’s mission.

Key Responsibilities

·        Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of the Catalyst Centre initiative.

·        Oversee the Accredited Catalyst Centre accreditation and implementation process.

·        Foster regional cluster collaborations to promote resource-sharing and institutional synergy.

·        Drive Ambassador engagement to enhance grassroots participation and outreach.

·        Develop and implement operational frameworks, SOPs, and monitoring systems for effective governance.

·        Collaborate with the Functional and IT teams to ensure seamless integration of operational processes.

·        Provide progress reports, risk assessments, and performance updates to senior leadership.

Qualifications & Experience

·        Mandatory: A Science or Engineering degree.

·        Preferred: Science/Engineering degree plus MBA (Management / Operations / Strategy).

·        4–8 years of proven experience in operations and project implementation across India.

·        Strong leadership, program management, and stakeholder engagement skills.

·        Demonstrated success in large-scale program execution with measurable outcomes.

·        Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

·        Commitment to diversity, inclusion, and sustainable growth in science and research ecosystems.

Preferred Candidate Profile

·        A woman leader with operational expertise in multi-sector projects.

·        Experience in on-ground project implementation across diverse geographies in India.

·        Passion for contributing to India’s research, innovation, and institutional excellence

·        Ability to balance strategic vision with hands-on execution.

Remuneration:

Salary will be paid as per IISc, CeNSE norms
