The main objective of having this portal (developed using public fund) is to provide support to needy researchers in different ways and strengthen the R&D ecosystem to fulfil the necessity of people of the country. Website Address: https://www.istem.gov.in Role Overview The Indian Science, Technology and Engineering Facilities Map (I-STEM) is seeking a Senior Operational cum Program Manager to lead multiple national-level initiatives. This role will focus on developing and managing Catalyst Centres, implementing Accredited Catalyst Centres, driving cluster collaborations, and strengthening Ambassador engagement across India. The ideal candidate will be a woman leader with a strong academic background in Science or Engineering, 48 years of operational experience, and a proven track record of implementing large- scale projects across diverse regions of India. The position requires a strategic thinker with hands-on execution capability, ensuring measurable outcomes and sustainable growth for I-STEMs mission. Key Responsibilities ¢ ¢ Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of the Catalyst Centre initiative. Oversee the Accredited Catalyst Centre accreditation and implementation process. Foster regional cluster collaborations to promote resource-sharing and institutional synergy. Drive Ambassador engagement to enhance grassroots participation and outreach. Develop and implement operational frameworks, SOPs, and monitoring systems for effective governance. ¢ ¢ Collaborate with the Functional and IT teams to ensure seamless integration of operational processes. Provide progress reports, risk assessments, and performance updates to senior leadership. Qualifications & Experience ¢ ¢ ¢ Mandatory: A Science or Engineering degree. Preferred: Science/Engineering degree plus MBA (Management / Operations / Strategy). 48 years of proven experience in operations and project implementation across India.
