Role Summary
We are seeking a talented and experienced Data Warehouse Engineer with a strong background in database administration and architecture to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our data warehouse infrastructure, ensuring its efficiency, reliability, and scalability. Additionally, they will leverage their expertise in database administration and architecture to optimize database performance and ensure seamless data integration across various systems.
Responsibilities
- Hands-on experience with data warehouse tools and technologies.
- Design, develop, and maintain our time series database infrastructure to efficiently store and manage large volumes of time-series data.
- Design, develop, and maintain the data warehouse infrastructure, including data modelling, schema design, dimensional modelling and ETL processes.
- Experience with Azure cloud platform.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design solutions that meet business needs.
- Optimize database performance by fine-tuning queries, indexes, and data storage strategies.
- Implement data security and access controls to protect sensitive information.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data warehouse performance issues, ensuring high availability and reliability.
- Design and implement data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality and integrity.
- Provide database administration support, including installation, configuration, and maintenance of database systems.
- Collaborate with software developers to integrate data warehouse solutions with applications and systems.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in data warehousing, database administration, and architecture.
- Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance and support as needed.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational database management systems. The primary focus is MariaDB. Rest other DB’s (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server) knowledge is nice to have.
Prerequisites
Qualification - BE/B Tech/MCA
Ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5+ years of experience.
Base Location: Noida, but flexible to travel.
