Senior Mechanical Engineer

You will be playing a crucial role as a Mechanical Design Engineer at Designing Alley by conceptualizing, designing, and prototyping mechanical components and systems for innovative projects. Your work will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring ideas from concept to reality, and leading a mechanical engineering team to ensure client expectations are exceeded. Your key responsibilities will include: - Leading the mechanical design process from concept generation to detailed design and prototyping. - Providing industry experience in creating mechanical and mechatronics solutions for diverse problems. - Utilizing CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, others) to create 3D models, assemblies, and detailed drawings/drafts. - Conducting feasibility studies and analyses to evaluate design concepts. - Collaborating with other teams to integrate mechanical and electromechanical systems into product designs. - Performing design validation and testing to verify mechanical design performance. - Working closely with manufacturing partners to support production and ensure smooth transition from prototype to mass manufacturing. - Identifying opportunities for design optimization, cost reduction, and performance improvement. - Staying abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices. - Building and leading a mechanical engineering team, ensuring high performance and collaboration. Qualifications required for this role include: - Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; Masters degree preferred. - Proven experience in mechanical design, preferably in a startup or product development environment. - Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools. - Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes. - Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively and analytically. - Practical communication skills for collaboration across multidisciplinary teams. - Self-motivated and able to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment. - Experience with rapid prototyping techniques and familiarity with various manufacturing technologies. - Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards relevant to product design and development is advantageous.,
