Role Overview

The Chief Marketing Officer will oversee the NGO’s overall marketing, branding, communications, and fundraising outreach. The ideal candidate will be passionate about social impact, skilled at storytelling, and capable of building strong relationships with media, corporate partners, and stakeholders to amplify the organization’s mission.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Marketing: Develop and implement marketing strategies that strengthen the NGO’s brand and align with its mission and goals.
  • Brand Management: Ensure consistent messaging across campaigns, events, social media, and publications.
  • Donor & Partner Engagement: Design marketing initiatives to attract and retain donors, sponsors, and CSR partners.
  • Digital Marketing: Lead digital campaigns across social media, website, email, and online platforms to expand outreach.
  • Media & PR: Build relationships with media houses, influencers, and community leaders to gain visibility for projects and events.
  • Event Marketing: Oversee marketing for fundraising events, campaigns, and awareness programs.
  • Content & Storytelling: Craft compelling narratives to highlight impact stories, beneficiary experiences, and project success.
  • Team Leadership: Guide and mentor the communications and marketing team, ensuring creativity and efficiency.
  • Market Research: Analyze audience insights, donor behavior, and trends to refine marketing strategies.
  • Reporting: Monitor KPIs, campaign performance, and donor engagement metrics; present reports to senior leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or brand management (experience in NGO/social impact sector preferred).
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Proven expertise in digital marketing, PR, and fundraising campaigns.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (local languages a plus).
  • Ability to think creatively, handle crisis communication, and build long-term stakeholder relationships.
  • Passion for nonprofit causes and social impact.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
