Senior Manager / Manager - Actuarial ( IFRS 17)

A. Position Summary

Required candidates with around 4-8 years of working experience preferably in the IFRS17 reporting of a life insurance company, having cleared at least 5-6 actuarial exams. The candidate is expected to support implementation of IFRS17.

B. Key Responsibilities

• Implementation of IFRS 17 reporting process from Actuarial perspective.
• New product assessment and methodology/assumption setting with respect to the IFRS 17 framework (including product coding for linked/non-linked products).
• Manage daily actuarial tasks primarily around financial reporting and related actuarial analytics.
• Propose and review new methodologies, assumptions, and model developments.
• Support implementation of new methodologies and assumptions; conduct UAT as per standards.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders to prioritize and deliver business requirements and solutions.
• Ensure IFRS17 business requirements and solutions are properly implemented and tested.
• Support dynamic projects based on management needs from time to time.

C. Job Specifications

• Bachelors degree with minimum 5-6 actuarial exams completed.
• At least 4+ years of working experience in the IFRS17 function of a life insurance company.
• Strong command over advanced MS Excel, VBA, and R programming.
• Experience with actuarial software like Prophet, DCS; SAS is an added advantage.
• Analytical mindset with excellent data management, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication and business skills to drive results.
