Role Overview :
The Marketing Specialist will be responsible for driving business growth in the
power trading sector

. This role requires a blend of commercial acumen, technical understanding of power markets, and the ability to navigate complex regulatory frameworks governing electricity trading and renewable energy integration.
Key Responsibilities

Market Development Strategy
- Identify new business opportunities in Captive Power/Power trading, including renewable energy certificates, open access, and bilateral contracts.
- Develop and execute marketing strategies to expand client base among industrial, commercial, and utility customers.
- Conduct competitor analysis and market intelligence to position offerings effectively.

Client Engagement Business Growth
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including DISCOMs, industrial consumers, and trading partners.
- Prepare techno-commercial proposals, presentations, and marketing collateral tailored to client needs.
- Negotiate commercial terms and contracts aligned with regulatory requirements.

Regulatory Understanding Compliance
- Monitor and interpret policies, regulations, and guidelines issued by CERC, SERCs, POSOCO, and other relevant authorities.
- Ensure compliance with trading licenses, open access procedures, scheduling, and settlement mechanisms.
- Advocate for regulatory reforms and represent the company in industry forums, consultations, and hearings.

Operational Support :
- Collaborate with trading desk and operations team to align marketing strategies with real-time market conditions.
- Support risk management and pricing strategies by integrating regulatory insights into commercial decisions.
- Track performance metrics and prepare periodic reports for management review.
Qualifications Skills :

Education:
MBA/PGDM in Marketing, Energy Management, or related field. Engineering background (Electrical/Power/Energy) preferred. -
Experience:
5-8 years in power trading, energy marketing, or regulatory affairs. -
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Indian power market mechanisms (DAM, TAM, RTM, REC, Green Term Ahead Market).
- Familiarity with CERC/SERC regulations, open access frameworks, and renewable energy policies.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Analytical mind-set with ability to interpret regulatory changes and assess business impact.
- Proficiency in MS Office, data analysis tools, and presentation software.
