Background & Purpose:
As part of the Group Talent, Leadership, Learning and Culture function, the role of Senior Manager, Group Learning, reports into the Group Head of Learning, and supports the implementation of Group Learning Strategy and roadmap in service of business goals and transformation, while fostering culture of continuous learning and professional development across the organisation.
The role is responsible for designing, implementing and evaluating comprehensive learning programs that drive individual growth and organisational capability aligned with business strategy. This role partners with senior stakeholders to identify learning needs, create development interventions, ensuring alignment with business objectives. The Senior Manager, Group Learning, as an experienced learning practitioner, will be well-versed in adult learning theory, instructional design, learning & development strategy, and roll out of capability building programs at an enterprise level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Stakeholder Engagement & strategic partnering: Collaborate with senior business leaders, HR partners, and functional SMEs to assess capability gaps and define learning requirements. Advocate for L&D as a driver of transformation and change. Provide advisory & partner with functions/business on technical learning implementation.
- Instructional Design & Program Development: Design and deploy learning & development solutions that are aligned with organisational needs and enable learning in the flow of work. Develop, innovate and implement a diverse high-impact learning portfolio, utilising a blend of learning methodologies (e.g eLearning, microlearning, blended learning, instructor-led training, workshops and holistic development journeys)
- Support organisational transformation by developing change capability and resilience across teams. Design interventions that facilitate adoption of new processes, tools, or culture.
- Ensure Group Learning Governance is well established & adhered to (including learning standards, compliance and mandatory learning process, and overall framework to drive consistent learner experience, ensure high impact learning and learner engagement).
- Support implementation of skills framework at enterprise-level along with career development proposition including gigs, mentoring program.
- Evaluation & Continuous Improvement: Establish metrics and feedback mechanisms to assess learning outcomes, program impact, and ROI. Use insights to refine offerings and drive continual enhancement.
- Research and integrate market-leading practices in learning & development to maintain a competitive edge.
- Vendor Management: Evaluate and select external learning partners, platforms, and consultants. Negotiate contracts and ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and strategic fit.
- Learning Technology & Analytics: Harness digital learning platforms, learning management systems (LMS), and data analytics to enhance learner engagement and measure program effectiveness.
- Budgeting & Resource Allocation: Manage the L&D budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and return on investment.
Requirements (qualifications, attributes and experience):
- Master s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent.
- 10+ years of relevant work experience in HR, preferably with 5+ years in Learning & Development, in reputable MNCs cross-industry
- Demonstrated experience in L&D strategy implementation, learning needs assessment, content curation and development, instructional design, adult learning, measuring learning effectiveness.
- Proven track record of partnering with senior business leaders on strategic talent development.
- Hands-on experience with LMS platforms, digital learning tools, and analytics dashboards.
- Strong project management and communication skills: Ability to influence change, facilitate and build relationships, adapting communication style to meet the needs of the business/diverse stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
