Every day, we rise to the challenge to make a difference and here’s how the Senior Manager-Global Medical Digital Excellence role, will make an impact: Role Purpose The role will be responsible for leading and executing digital strategies within the medical organization. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive digital innovation, enhance digital capabilities, and ensure the successful implementation of digital initiatives. They will be crucial in shaping the organization’s digital landscape and ensuring alignment with global standards and best practices. Key Responsibilities • Create/manage digital solutions for the medical team to accelerate digital know-how and expertise. • Lead the development and implementation of medical capabilities and related tools to provide a strategically aligned and consistent approach to be used globally across the Viatris medical organization to ensure optimal engagement. • Oversee digital projects from conception to execution, ensuring timely delivery within budget and scope. • Support the development of processes for synthesizing medical insights obtained during a scientific exchange with external customers and dissemination of medical insights to internal, global cross-functional teams. • Lead discussions and provide input and consultation on medical-related systems and processes (e.g., Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools, Insight and opinion platforms, KOL management databases, etc.) across medical programs. • Work closely with internal teams, including IT, medical and clinical teams, to ensure seamless execution of digital initiatives. • Collaborate with internal partners to identify opportunities for mutually beneficial projects and process improvements, demonstrating value while enhancing and digitalizing current workflows. • Identify and integrate emerging technologies to drive digital innovation and improve operational efficiencies. Leverage the latest tools, platforms, and technologies to enhance digital capabilities within the organization. • Track and report on digital performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and optimizing strategies accordingly. • Perform all company activities in full compliance with all regulations, company policies and procedures, and industry or legal requirements. Qualification and Experience Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across various teams. Familiarity with medical affairs standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices in the pharmaceutical industry Deep understanding of digital tools, platforms, and emerging technologies relevant to the medical field. Ability to think strategically and develop long-term digital plans that align with the organization’s goals. Experience managing digital projects, ensuring successful execution within deadlines and budgets. Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and trends to inform digital strategies. Proven ability to work in a collaborative environment and drive cross-functional initiatives. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to evolving challenges and opportunities. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing digital landscape. 8 (+) years of experience in Medical Affairs in the pharmaceutical industry. Experience in digital transformation, healthcare technology, or medical innovation is highly desirable. Must have experience in managing digital solutions and channel know-how. Must have demonstrated strong leadership ability, especially regarding cross-functional initiatives and working with local and above-country teams. Experience in evaluating skills gaps to build the right capabilities. Show more Show less
