Job Description

Manager – Strategic Procurement


The Manager – Strategic Procurement will be responsible for managing end-to-end procurement for hotel technical packages including Kitchen Equipment, CP & Sanitary works, hard finishes, flooring, and other core construction-related scopes. The role will work closely with internal project teams, consultants, vendors, and hotel operations to ensure cost-effective, timely, and compliant procurement across existing assets and new projects.

Key Responsibilities


Technical Procurement Management

  • Lead procurement for technical packages including commercial kitchen equipment, CP & sanitary fittings, hard finishes, flooring, and related hotel project scopes.
  • Ensure technical specifications, BOQs, and drawings are clearly understood and aligned prior to tendering and order placement.

Vendor Identification & Evaluation

  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard vendors and contractors based on technical capability, commercial competitiveness, and execution track record.
  • Coordinate factory visits, mock-ups, and sample reviews where required.

Tendering & Commercial Evaluation

  • Manage RFQs, tendering processes, and comparative statements for assigned technical categories.
  • Evaluate bids in coordination with consultants, PMCs, and internal stakeholders to ensure technical and commercial alignment.

Contracting & Order Placement

  • Support contract finalization and negotiate commercial terms in coordination with internal finance and legal teams.
  • Generate purchase recommendations and approval notes prior to issuance of work orders or purchase orders.

Coordination & Execution Support

  • Coordinate closely with project teams, site engineers, and hotel operations to align procurement timelines with construction and installation schedules.
  • Track manufacturing, deliveries, and installation readiness to minimize delays and site conflicts.

Quality, Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure materials and equipment comply with approved specifications, brand standards, and statutory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive procurement documentation including approvals, POs, delivery records, warranties, and manuals.

Financial Coordination

  • Work with finance teams to track budgets, payment milestones, invoices, and GRNs.
  • Support reconciliation of bills against POs and contract terms.

Reporting & Controls

  • Provide regular procurement status updates and support preparation of project and management reports.
  • Highlight risks, delays, or cost deviations and propose corrective actions.
