Candidate must be LOCAL to Hyderabad area. This position requires only In-person interview in Gachibowli, Nanakramguda, Hyderabad. Client is not conducting any video interviews. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented "Mainframe Developer" with strong experience in COBOL, IMSDB, DB2, and CICS. The ideal candidate will work on maintaining, enhancing, and supporting legacy systems and applications. Experience or familiarity with systems in the railroad transportation industry is a significant plus. Required Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience). Extensive experience in mainframe application development and support. Strong hands-on experience with COBOL programming. Proficiency in IMSDB and DB2 database systems. In-depth knowledge of CICS transaction processing systems. Solid understanding of mainframe development tools and job control language (JCL). Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience working in the railroad transportation industry. Experience with modernization or migration projects involving mainframe systems. Familiarity with Agile or hybrid development methodologies. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, IMSDB, DB2, and CICS. Analyze user requirements and translate them into system design specifications. Troubleshoot and resolve issues in existing mainframe systems. Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and documentation processes. Work closely with cross-functional teams including QA, Business Analysts, and Project Managers. Maintain system integrity and data accuracy across various mainframe databases and transaction processing systems. Ensure adherence to established coding standards, best practices, and security protocols. Provide support for production issues and system upgrades.
