The role is with One of the leading global reinsurance firms.


About the Role

We are seeking an experienced professional to join the Claims team, specialising in Liability claims. The role involves managing complex, high-value liability claims (including product liability, public liability, professional indemnity, and casualty) that often span multiple years. The candidate will serve as a key liaison between clients, insurers, reinsurers, and legal teams, ensuring effective resolution and delivery of superior claims service.


Responsibilities

Claims Handling & Management

  • Manage end-to-end liability claims with long-tail exposure, ensuring fair, timely, and effective settlements.
  • Handle claims involving complex causation, bodily injury, property damage, and latent injury exposures.
  • Review and analyse policy coverage, terms, and conditions in relation to liability claims.


Client Advocacy

  • Act as a trusted advisor and advocate for clients during the claims process.
  • Provide regular updates and claims status reports to clients.
  • Support clients in litigation management and settlement negotiations.


Stakeholder Coordination

  • Collaborate with insurers, reinsurers, legal counsel, loss adjusters, and other experts to drive favourable outcomes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the claims ecosystem.


Technical Expertise

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of liability insurance products, claims processes, legal precedents, and industry trends.
  • Advise internal teams and clients on complex liability exposures and emerging risks.


Qualifications

  • Graduate/Post-Graduate, preferably with a background in Law, Insurance, Risk Management, or related field.
  • 6–12 years of experience in handling long-tail liability claims (product liability, casualty, professional indemnity, public liability, etc.).
  • Experience with multinational clients and complex claims environments.
  • Strong knowledge of liability policy wordings, claim settlement processes, and dispute resolution.


Required Skills

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to handle high-value, long-duration claims with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
