This is a permanent role with Bootstrapped mid-size company in Supply chain domain, a valued client of TheHrism.

We are seeking a

Senior Software Engineer (Java)

to join our growing engineering team in Gurugram. This role is ideal for someone with strong Java development expertise, hands-on experience with Spring Boot and microservices, and a solid understanding of scalable system design. You’ll work in a fast-paced Agile environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to build high-performance, enterprise-grade applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices
• Contribute to architecture and system design discussions, focusing on performance, scalability, and extensibility
• Work with relational and NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
• Build and consume RESTful APIs, integrating with front-end and third-party systems
• Ensure code quality through TDD, DevOps automation, and Agile best practices
• Collaborate with product managers, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality solutions
  

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of professional experience in Java software development
• Strong knowledge of computer science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, design patterns)
• Proficiency in Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, Hibernate
• Hands-on with MySQL/PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and DevOps practices
• Familiarity with Azure Cloud environments
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, Zookeeper, and container orchestration
• Exposure to machine learning concepts
• Working knowledge of Python, Geolocation, and Mapping APIs
• Understanding of BPMN and multi-tenant system design
