Senior Interior Designer

The Senior Interior Designer will lead the design process for multiple projects from concept through execution. You will be responsible for ensuring design quality, managing client relationships, coordinating with stakeholders, mentoring junior designers, and delivering projects on time and within budget. Your designs should be innovative, functional, aesthetically pleasing, and aligned with both client requirements and company standards. Key ResponsibilitiesConcept & Design Development Develop design concepts that are creative, practical, and suited to client brief. Create mood boards, sketches, 3D visualizations, layouts, floor plans, elevations, and renderings. Select appropriate materials, finishes, furnishings, lighting, and FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment). Space Planning & Functional Layouts Evaluate client needs to design efficient and ergonomic layouts. Ensure optimal use of space considering usability, traffic flow, safety, and aesthetics. Technical Documentation & Detailing Prepare detailed drawings: working drawings, construction & shop drawings, elevations, material specifications. Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, safety regulations, finish standards, etc. Project Management Manage project timelines, budgets, procurement of materials/FF&E, and contractor coordination. Oversee site visits, inspections, progress monitoring, and quality control during execution. Resolve design, cost or technical issues that arise during execution. Client & Stakeholder Interaction Meet / liaise with clients to understand their requirements, present design proposals, gather feedback, and revise designs. Coordinate with other professionals: architects, structural / MEP engineers, contractors, vendors/suppliers. Team Leadership & Mentorship Guide and mentor junior / mid-level designers; review their work, provide constructive feedback. Ensure design team adheres to company’s quality standards and design vision. Budget & Cost Control Prepare / estimate project costs, FF&E budgets, and track expenditures. Ensure designs are feasible within client’s budget and make cost-effective recommendations where needed. Quality & Innovation Maintain high standards for design finish, detailing, presentation. Keep abreast of latest design trends, materials, technology, sustainability practices. Suggest innovations to improve workflow, design execution, client satisfaction.
