JD – Sr. Interior Design  Job Title: Senior Interior Designer Company: 3 Star Projects Industry: Furniture Manufacturing Location: Mumbai, Thane Experience: 3+ Years Salary: 20k to 30k  Job Summary: 3 Star Projects is looking for an experienced and visionary Senior Interior Designer to lead and manage high-end furniture and interior projects from concept to execution. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of carpentry based design, spatial planning, and execution strategies. This role involves end-to end design ownership, direct client engagement, cross-functional coordination with production and site teams, and mentoring junior designers. Your creative expertise, technical proficiency, and leadership will play a critical role in delivering top-quality design solutions and ensuring client satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: 1. Concept Development & Design Leadership  Lead the design conceptualization for customized furniture and interior spaces Create innovative and practical design solutions aligned with client needs and brand standards. Present mood boards, color schemes, and material concepts to clients. 2. Detailed Design & Technical Documentation  Prepare detailed 2D and 3D design drawings using AutoCAD, SketchUp, and other relevant tools. Oversee the creation of working drawings, material lists, and BOQs (Bill of Quantities). Review and approve drawings created by junior designers and CAD drafters.  3. Site Coordination & Measurement  Conduct site visits for accurate measurements, layout validation, and supervision during execution. Coordinate with production and project management teams to ensure design accuracy on-site.  4. Client Communication & Project Management Act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the design process. Understand client requirements, incorporate feedback, and ensure timely project delivery. Prepare presentations and conduct client meetings with clarity and confidence. 5. Team Management & Support  Mentor and guide junior design associates. Collaborate with the Design Lead and Project Head for design review and planning. Contribute to internal training and knowledge-sharing initiatives.  6. Sales & Business Support  Assist in the design pitch during client acquisition and proposal discussions. Participate in sales meetings to provide design insights and technical clarifications. Support post-sales design modifications and client satisfaction reviews. Qualifications:  Education: Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Industrial Design, or related fields. Experience: Minimum of 3 years in furniture or interior design, preferably in custom residential or commercial furniture projects. Software Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and MS Office. Knowledge of Photoshop, 3ds Max, or Revit is a plus.  Other Requirements:  o Strong knowledge of materials, joinery, and modular furniture components. o Excellent understanding of on-site challenges and design-to-execution workflows. o Great eye for aesthetics, layout balance, and finishing details.
