As a Senior HR Business Partner for our client, you will play a crucial role in establishing and leading the Human Resources function in India. Your responsibilities will include: - Partnering with Corporate HR team to develop and execute a holistic people strategy - Serving as the local HR leader for India and aligning local HR strategy with global business goals - Building a positive and inclusive workplace culture - Developing and executing employee engagement initiatives - Acting as a trusted advisor to employees and managers on people-related matters - Supporting employee development plans, training initiatives, and L&D programs - Ensuring compliance with Indian labor laws, statutory obligations, and HR audits - Serving as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on organizational design, talent management, and risk mitigation - Leveraging data and analytics in designing innovative people solutions In addition to the key responsibilities mentioned above, you will need to meet the following qualifications: - Certifications in labor law, HR compliance, or governance (e.g., SHRM-CP, LL.B.) - Experience managing multi-location or multi-state HR operations in India - High level of integrity, discretion, and ethical judgment - Staying updated on labor laws, regulations, and industry trends - Experience in training, facilitation, and team building - Experience partnering globally and leveraging centers of expertise - Experience in navigating HR Information Systems like Workday - Computer fluency, MS Office proficiency - Fluent in English - Knowledge of India employment law - Bachelors or Masters degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field - 8-10 years of progressive HR experience; prior experience in setting up HR systems is a plus - Strong knowledge of Indian labor laws and HR compliance - Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills - Proactive, hands-on, and comfortable working in a dynamic, evolving environment This is a unique opportunity to shape the HR practices of a growing organization and contribute to the establishment of a compliant and high-performing work culture in India.
