Job Description

1. Operational Responsibilities

  • Supervise room attendants, public area attendants, and housekeeping staff during daily operations.
  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, corridors, public areas, and back-of-house areas to ensure cleanliness and maintenance standards.
  • Assign daily tasks and duty rosters to staff based on occupancy and priorities.
  • Ensure all rooms are cleaned, serviced, and released on time for guest arrivals.
  • Coordinate with Front Office regarding room status, prioritization, and special guest requirements.

2. Quality & Standards

  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping practices, linen quality, hygiene, and overall presentation.
  • Ensure compliance with hotel SOPs, safety protocols, and sanitation guidelines.
  • Monitor and implement quality controls to achieve excellent guest satisfaction scores.

3. Staff Management

  • Conduct briefings, assign tasks, and monitor productivity.
  • Address staff queries, discipline issues, and performance concerns in coordination with the Executive Housekeeper.

4. Inventory & Equipment

  • Manage and maintain housekeeping inventory including linen, guest supplies, and cleaning chemicals.
  • Ensure proper usage and maintenance of cleaning equipment and machines.
  • Prepare requisitions for supplies and place orders as required.

5. Guest Service

  • Handle guest complaints or service requests related to housekeeping and resolve them promptly.
  • Coordinate special setups such as honeymoon amenities, VIP rooms, and additional services.

6. Administrative Duties

  • Maintain records such as room inspection reports, attendance, linen movement, and lost & found.
  • Assist in preparing duty rosters and staff schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with hotel policies and statutory requirements.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills
  • Knowledge of housekeeping procedures and cleaning standards
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving ability
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage teams effectively
  • Basic computer skills (MS Excel, PMS knowledge preferred)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹26,000.00 per month
