Role Description:

Apparel Resources is seeking a Senior Graphic Designer


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and layout creation for magazines

    , ensuring visually engaging and reader-friendly spreads.
  • Develop editorial layouts that reflect the brand’s identity, style guide, and editorial content.
  • Collaborate with the editorial team to integrate text, images, and other media into cohesive magazine layouts.
  • Focus on

    typography

    , visual hierarchy, and color schemes to enhance the readability and appeal of editorial designs.
  • Work on designing covers, feature spreads, advertisements, and other printed materials.
  • Maintain consistency in design across multiple magazine issues, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to produce promotional and branding materials that complement magazine designs.
  • Create

    branding materials

    , logos, and other visual assets as needed for digital and print projects as well as for events.
  • Contribute to the creative development of design concepts for print and digital platforms.
  • Ensure that all designs are print-ready and meet production specifications for magazines and other printed publications.


Qualifications:

  • Proven

    graphic design

    skills with a strong focus on

    magazine layout

    creation.
  • Expertise in

    logo design

    ,

    branding

    , and

    typography

    .
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design projects, particularly

    magazine layouts

    or editorial work.
  • Proficiency in

    Adobe Creative Suite

    (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), with an emphasis on InDesign for layout design.
  • Ability to create

    visually appealing designs

    that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing.
  • Experience working on

    print, digital media & events

    and familiarity with print production processes.
  • Excellent communication

    skills for collaborating with editorial and creative teams.
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor's degree

    in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience in the

    fashion or media

    industry is a plus.


Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for editorial design and layout creation, with a deep understanding of how visual elements enhance storytelling in print publications. They will be proficient in InDesign and other graphic design tools, able to work efficiently in a team, and have the ability to manage multiple design projects while maintaining a high standard of creativity and attention to detail.
