Senior Financial Accountant

Role Overview: As a Senior Accountant at Workday, you will be responsible for managing annual financial close processes, preparing and reviewing statutory accounts, and ensuring compliance with international accounting standards. Your role will involve leading accounting projects, improving compliance processes, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders. You will play a crucial part in supporting career development and maintaining a practical work environment within the Finance team. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare trial balances and statutory financial statements for multiple international entities. - Ensure compliance with US GAAP, IFRS, and local accounting standards. - Coordinate with auditors, tax, legal, and finance teams to meet reporting deadlines. - Support accounting projects to improve processes and efficiency. - Lead compliance-related tasks and projects, managing timelines and deliverables. - Act as the point of escalation for any compliance issues internally or externally, ensuring timely resolutions are obtained. - Take the lead in accounting and compliance-related projects to drive continuous improvement, manage deliverables, communicate outcomes, and have overall oversight. Qualifications Required: - ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified - 7+ years post-qualification experience, with international accounting exposure - Shared Services or global accounting experience preferred - Strong technical accounting knowledge across US GAAP, IFRS, and local standards - Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver on deadlines - Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills - Clear communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams - Flexibility to work across time zones Additional Company Details: At Workday, we value flexibility in work arrangements and believe in a combination of in-person and remote work.
