Senior Financial Accountant

Job Summary:

Getset Pvt. Ltd., a leading corporate events company, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Finance to manage our entire finance and accounting department. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, detail-oriented professional with a strong background in financial management, statutory compliance, and reporting. This role requires an individual who can independently handle all financial operations, from daily bookkeeping to strategic financial planning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Management:
• Oversee and manage all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and cost accounting.
• Prepare and publish timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Manage cash flow, prepare cash flow forecasts, and monitor company budgets.
• Conduct financial analysis, provide insights, and recommend strategic actions to improve financial performance.

• Taxation and Compliance:
• Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax returns, including GST (Goods and Services Tax), TDS (Tax Deducted at Source), and other statutory compliances.
• Manage all GST-related activities, including reconciliation, return filing (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, etc.), and managing input tax credit.
• Coordinate with external auditors and manage the annual audit process.
• Stay updated with changes in financial regulations and tax laws to ensure the company's compliance.

• Accounting Systems & Tools:
• Take complete ownership of the accounting software, primarily TallyPrime, and ensure its effective use for all financial transactions and reporting.
• Be proficient with various accounting portals and government websites for tax filings and compliance.
• Implement and maintain internal financial controls and accounting procedures.

• Business Operations Support:
• Provide financial reports and insights to the management team for decision-making.
• Manage payroll and employee expense reimbursements.
• Liaise with banks, financial institutions, and vendors.
• Provide financial guidance on new projects and business ventures.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience: A minimum of 5-8 years of experience in a finance or accounting role, with a significant portion of that time spent in a senior or independent capacity.

• Technical Proficiency:
• Expert-level proficiency in Tally is a must.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Well-versed with GST laws and procedures, including a proven track record of handling GST filings.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
• Soft Skills:
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• A proactive and solution-oriented mindset.

Education:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance.
• Professional certification like CA (Chartered Accountant), CPA, or CMA is highly desirable but not mandatory if the candidate demonstrates the required experience and skills.
