Senior Finance Specialist

Role Overview: As a finance specialist at Verisk, your primary responsibility will be to analyze financial data, ensure compliance with regulations, and provide insights to drive business decisions and improve financial performance. You will need to leverage your strong analytical skills, financial management experience, and collaborative abilities to excel in this role. Key Responsibilities: - Manage the month-end closing process and conduct balance sheet reconciliations for various accounts such as cash, fixed assets, intercompany, current assets, and current liabilities. - Assist in tax, audit, and statutory filings, and liaise with internal and external stakeholders including tax agencies, auditors, and corporate secretarial to ensure regulatory compliance. - Adhere to internal controls, support the review of key controls, and ensure SOX compliance. - Continuously evaluate, recommend, and implement changes to financial processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting. - 3 to 5 years of accounting experience handling full set of accounts including AR, AP, month-end closing, and statutory reporting. - Excellent knowledge of local and international financial reporting standards and regulations. - Ability to research and propose company positions on complex accounting issues. - Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license and big four experience preferred.
