Job Description

The Business Development Executive / Senior Business Development Executive at Blue Dart Express India, a leader in the logistics and express delivery sector and part of the DHL Group, plays a critical role in driving revenue growth within the assigned Area by effectively managing the sales process for all products. This includes Domestic Priority (DP), International, Retail, Cargo, and E-Retail, as well as revenue enhancement through channel partners such as Regional Service Providers (RSPs), Consolidators, Franchise Collection Centers (FCCs), and One-Stop Centers (OSCs. The incumbent will be responsible for customer acquisition, relationship management, and adherence to company sales policies. The role requires managing the end-to-end sales cycle, ensuring customer satisfaction, and driving sustained business development in the logistics and courier industry. Key responsibilities include monitoring and driving Area revenue performance, evaluating key account profitability, tracking product-wise yields, managing the sales process, ensuring compliance with SOPs, implementing sales and marketing strategies, negotiating rates with customers, maintaining prospect details, addressing customer service issues, providing insights for product offering modifications, achieving collection targets, guiding the sales team, and maintaining optimal staffing levels. Qualifications for this role include a graduate degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field, with an MBA or Postgraduate degree in Sales & Marketing preferred. The ideal candidate will have 1-4 years of experience in sales, business development, or key account management in the logistics, courier, supply chain, or e-commerce industry, with experience in B2B sales and managing channel partners being an added advantage. Technical skills required include a strong understanding of sales processes, revenue management, and market expansion strategies, proficiency in using sales tracking tools like Saffire and Avature, and knowledge of data analytics and business intelligence tools. Behavioral competencies include being result-oriented, customer-centric, analytically minded, and possessing strong negotiation and influencing skills. Key performance indicators for this role include growth in Area revenues, driving market growth, ensuring timely collections, driving sales capability, productivity, and process adherence, new product development, fostering a performance-driven culture, and driving employee morale and engagement.,
