Senior Engineer - Utility

As a Tire Plant Utility Supervisor, your role involves overseeing the operation and maintenance of the utility department in the tire plant. Your responsibilities include: - Conducting daily reviews to ensure Utility Efficiency meets specifications: - Specific Steam Consumption < 2.1 kg/Kg of tire production - Specific Water Consumption < 3.2 M3/Ton of tire production - Utility rating >99.5 - Engaging in daily process and project reviews with subordinates for job follow-up, support, and guidance. - Ensuring availability and usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs). - Conducting safety awareness sessions to promote a culture of safety among employees and shift officers. - Driving improvement activities focusing on safety aspects. - Monitoring and maintaining Utility parameters, conducting Preventive, Corrective, and shutdown Maintenance, implementing 5S, Kaizens, KPIs, safety permit system, and on-the-job training activities. - Upholding ISO, EMS, and OHSAS standards. - Managing Energy Management and Sustainability systems. - Leading a team of Technicians to achieve organizational objectives. - Implementing preventive maintenance and condition monitoring techniques to minimize breakdowns and downtime. - Demonstrating expertise in Tire building, Tire curing, Rubber mixing equipment, engineering materials, and rotating equipment. - Adopting a system-oriented approach to enhance plant uptime, reliability, cost efficiency, and safety performance. - Familiarity with systems for manufacturing excellence, SAP, ISO, 5S, etc. Qualifications: - Education: Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Skills & Experience: - Ability to manage working teams and resources effectively. - Strong decision-making skills, especially in emergencies. - Achievement of planned PLF and plant running efficiency. - Minimum 1-3 years of experience with at least 1-2 years in a similar role. In this role, you are expected to interact with various teams within the division, participate in plant review meetings, liaise with the Purchase team for spares and services, collaborate with internal and external vendors, including foreign vendors for imported machines. This position is based in Bhuj, Gujarat, within the Utility Department of the Tire Plant. Physical fitness is a requirement for this role, and a fitness certificate is mandatory.
