Senior Engineer - Utility

As the Utility Plant Manager for the Tire Plant in Bhuj, Gujarat, your role involves running the Utility operation and maintenance to ensure tire production and quality are not affected. You will be responsible for supervising, training, and guiding Managers and Engineers reporting directly or indirectly to you. **Key Responsibilities:** - Review daily Utility Efficiency for specific metrics such as Steam Consumption (< 2.1 kg/Kg of tire production) and Water Consumption (< 3.2 M3/Ton of tire production). - Conduct daily process and project reviews with subordinates at different work locations for job follow-up, support, and guidance. - Ensure availability and usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs). - Conduct safety awareness sessions for employees and shift officers. - Drive improvement activities focusing on safety aspects. - Monitor Utility parameters, perform Preventive, Corrective, and shutdown Maintenance, implement 5S, Kaizens, KPIs, safety permit system, and on-the-job training. - Maintain ISO, EMS, and OHSAS systems. - Manage Energy Management and Sustainability system. - Lead a team of Technicians to achieve organizational objectives. - Implement preventive maintenance and condition monitoring techniques to reduce breakdowns and downtime. - Have expertise in Tire building, Tire curing, Rubber mixing equipment, and rotating equipment. - Adopt a system-oriented approach to continuously improve plant uptime, reliability, cost, and safety performance. - Familiarity with systems for manufacturing excellence, SAP, ISO, 5S, etc. **Qualifications:** - Education: Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering **Skill & Experience:** - Ability to manage working teams and resources effectively. - Decision-making skills during emergencies. - Achieve planned Plant Load Factor (PLF) and plant running efficiency. - Minimum 1-3 years of experience with at least 1-2 years in a similar role.
