Job Description

We are looking for an experienced

Senior Solution Sales Engineer

to drive business growth in machine and plant automation solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of automation systems and proven experience in consultative sales, offering end-to-end solutions that meet customer requirements. This role involves direct client interaction, proposal preparation, and coordination with internal teams to deliver competitive and technically sound solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in machine and plant automation across various industries.
  • Engage with customers to understand applications, processes, and automation requirements.
  • Propose tailored automation solutions, including PLC, HMI, SCADA, VFD, Servo systems, industrial communication, and customized control panels.
  • Collaborate with the design, estimation, and project teams to prepare technical and commercial proposals, BOQs, and cost estimates.
  • Deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations to clients.
  • Negotiate pricing and contract terms to close orders within approved margins.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure repeat business and referrals.
  • Keep track of market trends, competitor offerings, and emerging automation technologies.
  • Maintain records of inquiries, proposals, and orders in ERP/CRM systems.

Requirements

  • Experience: 4–8 years in solution sales, preferably in automation, industrial machinery, or process plant industries.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of automation products and systems (Schneider, Rockwell, Siemens, etc.).
    • Understanding of control systems, industrial communication protocols, and integration with machines/plants.
  • Education: Diploma/Degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets in a technical sales role.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings and site visits.
