Focus: Build & maintain Machine Learning models to solve business problems. Develop scripts to integrate those models into application flow. Maintain excellent documentation. American Express is looking for an energetic, impactful senior AI/ML engineer to help shape our technology and product roadmap. You will be part of the fast-paced team that enables ML/AI based solutions using ground-breaking technologies to deliver innovative solutions across multiple lines of business.Bachelors or higher degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field Hands-on experience in building and deploying AI/ML models including Generative AI, LangChain and NLPIn-depth knowledge of machine learning alogrithms, software architecture, libraries and frameworks to create AI that accomplishes outlined goals Rigorous knowledge of Python programming to develop software. Java is a plus.Skillful in developing and maintaining detailed, easy-to-read documentation including data dictionaries, model documentation, and code documentationExperience in leading and mentoring other engineersExperience in integrating AI/ML into existing applications in batch and realtimeEffective verbal and written communication skills to collaborate within and outside the teamHands-on experience on writing and understanding complex SQL(Hive/PySpark-dataframes) and optimizing data pipelines. Experience with NoSQL is a plus Experience in Big Data ecosystem including Map-Reduce, Hive, Spark (core, SQL and pyspark) and UNIX shell scripting Experience with GitHub and leveraging CI/CD pipelinesExperience in taking models through AI/ML governance in highly regulated industry is a plus We back our colleagues and their loved ones with benefits and programs that support their holistic well-being.
