Senior Engineer

As a Senior Engineer EDD - Engine Simulation at Hero Motocorp, your role will involve performing detailed fluid dynamics and thermal simulations to support the development of 2 Wheeler I.C engines. Here is a breakdown of your responsibilities: Key Responsibilities: - Perform 1D/3D CFD simulations of IC engine components including in-cylinder flows, fuel-air mixing, combustion processes, and heat transfer. - Conduct mesh generation, solver setup, post-processing, and results interpretation. - Optimize engine design parameters based on simulation insights. - Collaborate with design, testing, and performance teams to align simulations with real-world results. - Prepare technical reports, presentations for internal stakeholders, and SOPs. - Contribute to model development, validation, and continuous improvement of simulation methodologies. Qualification Required: - Engineering Diploma - Hands-on experience with GT-Suite, Altair, Fluent, STAR CCM+, AVL FIRE, Flowmaster, CATIA. - Strong understanding of fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, combustion, and heat transfer principles. - Familiarity with turbulence models (e.g., RANS, LES), multiphase flow, and conjugate heat transfer (CHT). - Proficiency in mesh generation (polyhedral, trimmed, overset meshes). - Good scripting skills in Java, Python, or STAR-CCM+ macros for automation.
