Job Description

Role Summary:

Responsible for designing, developing, and implementing electrical systems and components for manufacturing utilities, ensuring compliance with industry standards and supporting efficient, safe, and reliable operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Electrical System Design:
- Design and engineer electrical systems and components (switchgear, transformers, cables, UPS, DG sets) for manufacturing processes in compliance with IS/IEC standards.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work with Production, Maintenance, and Mechanical Utilities teams to understand requirements and develop optimized power distribution systems.
Layout Development:
- Prepare electrical layouts and schedules (earthing, lighting, cabling) in coordination with consultants.
Vendor & Consultant Coordination:
- Collaborate with vendors and consultants to ensure timely project completion.
Installation & Commissioning:
- Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems; provide technical guidance to technicians and contractors.
Troubleshooting & Maintenance:
- Diagnose electrical issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
Compliance & Safety:
- Adhere to company policies, safety protocols, and promote environmental stewardship.

Work Experience:

3–5 years in electrical design and engineering for industrial/manufacturing utilities.

Qualification:

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.

Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of electrical codes and standards (IS, IEC).
Experience with switchgear, transformers, VFD sizing, and electrical layouts.
Effective communication and ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.
Project management skills – ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
