Senior Director of Engineering

Position: Senior Director of Engineering

This role will require strong leadership, with a clear vision for maintaining the highest standards of engineering practice in-service. The incumbent will lead a variety of different types of activities, including: implementing new systems and services, custom application development, systems integration, operational efficiency improvements, process re-engineering, and infrastructure upgrades and deployments. Will design a solution for our next generation integrated automation environment and drive the adoption to take us to the next level.

The bedrock of our development environment is our technical infrastructure. Storage, Cloud, DevOps, AI, repeatability, and idempotent operations keep our infrastructure humming smoothly and intelligently. The responsibilities will range from building integrated test environments to defining deployment strategies to weaving tools into the fabric of our infrastructure. Leads a team of technical and functional leads and solution architects engaged in projects that support global and/or regional strategic and operational priorities.

Key Responsibilities :

• Drive the entire engineering team to build Storage and Cloud technologies for some of the best companies around the globe.
• Provide technical leadership, project guidance, and business development in various technology areas.
• Advise business and technology delivery leadership on how to translate the clients infrastructure and automation business requirements into executable technology solutions.
• Responsible for designing, building Storage & Cloud solutions and providing required support to Sales/Pre-Sales teams.
• Define common business and development processes, platform and tools usage for mobile solutions and delivery.
• Re-defining Architecture (Examine existing systems and execute new practices).
• Build New Communication Channels (Build Operational/Development channels).
• Automate Existing Processes

Skills:

• Effective cross-functional leadership skills: working with engineering and operational teams to ensure systems are secure, scalable, and reliable.
• Experience in designing and building solutions to move data and processing from on-premise solutions to storage/cloud-based solutions.
• Maintain a balanced view on the delivery of solutions between architecture, time, cost and quality.
• Lead and participate in the architectural design of features early in the development cycle, influencing it to drive quality and adherence to the specification.
• Operational experience in Linux/Unix environment and scripting languages: Shell, Perl, Python.

• Client and Customer Engagement.
• Be our Brand Ambassador in your region.

Management and Research

• Participate in weekly progress reports and maintain accurate data on all customers.
• Track and record activity on all accounts and help the sales team for new business opportunities
• This person will be reporting to the VP of Engineering.
