Senior Director of Engineering

As a part of Rippling, you will play a crucial role in collaborating with cross-functional teams and leaders to consolidate a suite of core platform products. Your responsibilities will include: - Working closely with design and product management leadership to shape the vision and strategy of the organization. - Approaching the team with a dual mindset, encompassing both platform and product-oriented perspectives. - Leading engineering initiatives such as architectural modifications and enhancements to the hiring process. - Offering technical leadership and direction in a broad engineering team. - Driving the development of products and platforms in a dynamic, startup environment. To excel in this position, you should meet the following qualifications: - Proven experience in establishing products and teams from scratch. - Minimum of 15 years of experience in software development and delivery, with a comprehensive understanding of software architectures. - At least 10 years of experience as an Engineering leader, overseeing the construction, management, and scaling of medium to large-sized development teams. - A degree in computer science, information technology, or relevant field, or equivalent practical experience. - Proficiency in constructing large-scale software platforms. - Skill in recruiting, structuring, and motivating teams. - Strong focus on product ownership and problem-solving for customers. - Ability to drive team development by setting goals, delegating effectively, providing engineering guidance, offering regular feedback, supporting team members in their career growth, and ensuring high-quality outcomes. - Excellent project management abilities with a customer-centric approach and dedication to problem-solving.
