SmarTek21 is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Director to bridge the gap between technology and business outcomes by working closely with Sales, Technology, and Delivery teams. This individual will play a critical role in pre-sales solutioning, technical proposal creation, client engagement and delivery management, and growth enablement (upsell & cross-sell), while staying on top of the evolving technology landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the Sales team to develop tailored, technical proposals and solutions that address prospective customers business and technical needs
- Lead the technical aspects of RFP/RFI responses, customer presentations, and pre-sales discovery sessions, translating requirements into solutions
- Oversee active client engagements to ensure on-time delivery, quality outcomes, and alignment with contractual and strategic objectives
- Act as an advisor and point of contact for key accounts, facilitating communication across internal and client stakeholders
- Drive growth within existing accounts by identifying and executing on upsell and cross-sell opportunities, targeting a minimum of 30% expansion across assigned accounts
- Maintain a deep understanding of current and emerging technologies and integrate these into customer-facing solutions
- Partner with internal delivery and capability teams to ensure the feasibility, scalability, and alignment of proposed solutions with delivery capabilities
- Mentor and lead cross-functional teams involved in solution design, proposal development, and client delivery to ensure consistency and excellence
- Track and report key metrics, take accountability for account growth, delivery success, and ensure continuous improvement
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 15 years of experience in a technology leadership role, with a strong mix of pre-sales, client engagement, and delivery management experience
- Must have an engineering background with hands-on experience as a technologist in earlier roles
- Demonstrated success in driving significant account growth through solution selling
- Strong expertise in modern enterprise technologies, including but not limited to cloud platforms, AI/ML, data platforms, automation, and digital transformation initiatives
- Proven ability to craft and present complex technical solutions to C-level stakeholders, with exceptional communication and storytelling skills
- Experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams across geographies and managing multiple engagements simultaneously.
- Familiarity with professional services or consulting delivery models, and the ability to align proposals with delivery capabilities.
