Main Function of the Job / Responsibilities / Scope of Work

The Design Engineer will be responsible for the successful execution of product design, development, and validation activities. The role involves ensuring customer requirements are met with innovative and efficient engineering solutions. Key responsibilities include:

• Ensure completion of design reviews, calculation verifications, and validation processes.
• Measure, monitor, and improve key design-related metrics.
• Accurately capture and interpret customer needs, expectations, and technical requirements.
• Conduct research and develop blueprints, engineering drawings, and 3D models.
• Design and develop functional prototypes for testing and validation.
• Identify and implement design solutions to enhance production efficiency.
• Utilize design software (SolidWorks, CATIA, AutoCAD) for product modeling and documentation.
• Conduct structural analysis (preferred).
• Maintain detailed engineering records and ensure adherence to ISO 9001 standards.
• Evaluate engineering prototypes to identify potential issues or risks.
• Oversee and support the manufacturing process for all designs.
• Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, production, and creative departments.
• Demonstrate working knowledge in SPM (Special Purpose Machines), MHE (Material Handling Equipment), structural systems, hydraulic systems, and associated design calculations.

• Residing in or willing to relocate to the PCMC area.

Required Experience

• Minimum

  3 to 6 years

  of experience in

  Automation and Engineering

  , with a strong background in product design and development.

Specialized Knowledge / Certifications (Preferred)

• Proficiency in

  SolidWorks, CATIA, and AutoCAD

  .
• ISO 9001 process knowledge.
