Key Responsibilities
Order Execution & Engineering Ownership
- Execute engineering activities for assigned product lines from order handover to
drawing/BOM release.
- Ensure timely delivery of engineering outputs with ≥95% adherence to committed
lead times.
- Own the entire engineering cycle for customer orders: order understanding, 3D
modelling, BOM preparation, GA drawings, fabrication and casting drawings.
Design Quality & Accuracy
- Ensure all drawings and models meet defined FTR (First Time Right) quality
standards.
- Incorporate sub-BOMs, weld details, NDT requirements, HT processes, and other
critical manufacturing details as per internal design checklist.
- Drive zero-defect engineering with structured reviews and design validation

- Coordinate with Sales, Application, SCM, Quality, and Production teams to clarify
order inputs, address design feasibility, and resolve manufacturing queries.
- Acknowledge orders after complete review of engineering feasibility and flag
incomplete or unclear inputs.
Risk Identification & Documentation
- Identify technical risks, challenges in manufacturability, or deviations early in the
cycle and escalate appropriately.
- Ensure all deviations and revisions are documented through Engineering Change
Requests (ECRs) and ECNs.
Team Contribution & Mentoring
- Support junior engineers in understanding design principles, order execution
procedures, and CAD/PLM tools.
- Promote standardization, structured working, and knowledge sharing within the
team.
- Ensure even workload distribution and guide peers in resolving complex design
issues.
Continuous Improvement & Innovation
- Identify and implement improvements in drawing quality, engineering processes,
and design standardization.
- Lead or contribute to VAVE (Value Analysis & Value Engineering) initiatives for cost
and performance optimization
Tools & Systems Usage
- Ensure engineering data is accurately managed within PLM (ECTR) and ERP (SAP)
systems.
- Maintain engineering trackers, load charts, and other order monitoring systems
with real-time status updates.
Candidate Requirements
Skills & Competencies
- Strong proficiency in 3D CAD software (Solid Edge preferred). Basic skills in
AutoCAD are an advantage.
- Working experience in ERP systems (preferably SAP), and PLM tools like ECTR.
- Deep understanding of relevant engineering standards: API 676, ASTM, ASME,

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to resolve technical
issues under tight deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with global stakeholder exposure.
- Ability to handle multiple projects, manage priorities effectively, meet tight
deadlines, quickly resolve manufacturing issues and maintain a high level of
attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, take ownership, and guide crossfunctional collaboration.
Education & Experience.
- BE degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 8–12+ years of relevant experience in rotating equipment design (preferably
positive displacement pumps like Twin Screw, Three Screw, or PCP).
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a manufacturing or shop-floor-facing role is
strongly preferred.
- Prior experience working in an ETO environment is a plus.

- Occasional travel to supplier or customer locations may be required.
