About the Role

Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Design & Modeling:
Develop detailed
3D models and 2D drawings
of mechanical components and assemblies using
CATIA
and other CAD software.
Documentation & Analysis:
Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation for design projects, ensuring all necessary files and records are accurately kept.
Technical Interpretation:
Interpret complex
technical documents, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
, and engineering drawings.
Engineering Knowledge:
Apply knowledge of
DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis)
,
Design Hand calculations
, and various material processes (Sheet metal, Plastic, Casting) to product design.
Benchmarking:
Conduct
BMC (Benchmarking) activities
to compare technical know-how with competitor products and identify areas for improvement.
Project Management:
Ensure all design deliverables are met within stipulated deadlines and manage time effectively, especially while working in a
shift basis
.
Team & Communication:
Act as a
Team Player
and mentor, providing guidance to junior engineers on work-related tasks.
