The Senior Storage Engineer is primarily responsible for the overall health and maintenance of storage technologies in our managed services customer's environments. Our Storage Engineers are a valued member of the Managed Services Infrastructure Practice- Storage and DPS team - responsible for Tier 3 incident management, service request management and change management infrastructure support for all Managed Services customers." Key Responsibilities
Provide enterprise-level operational support to Managed Services customers for incident, problem and change management activitiesPlan and perform maintenance activitiesAssess customer environments for performance and design issues and propose resolutionsWork across technical teams to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issuesCreate and maintain detailed documentationServe as a subject matter expert and escalation point for storage technologiesWork with vendors to resolve storage issuesCommunicate with customers and internal team with transparencyParticipate in on-call rotationCompletion of training and certification as assigned to further skills and knowledge
Skills & Qualifications Bachelors degree or equivalent Information Systems or related field. Unique education, specialized experience, skills, knowledge, training, or certification may be substituted for education10+ years of experience managing Dell Powermax and VMAX enterprise solutions including best practicesDeep understanding of Powermax OS and hardware, including architecture and features with experience with auto-provisioning and decommissioning, SnapVX, SRDF (setup and failover experience), ENAS, performance monitoring and troubleshooting5+ years of experience with Powerscale storage solutions including best practicesSound understanding of Powerscale OneFS, including architecture and features with experience with Access Zones, IP Pools, shares, Smart Pools, SnapshotIQ and SyncIQ (setup and failover experience)Powerscale troubleshooting experience, including hardware, performance and filesystem permission issuesKnowledge and operational experience with the following storage technologies is a plus - Pure FlashArray, NetApp (FAS,AFF) and Dell ECSProficiency in SAN/NAS protocols, including FC, iSCSI, NFS and SMBStrong experience with administration of enterprise and departmental fabric switching technologies and tools, including Dell MX, Brocade and CiscoSwitch fabric zoning and decommissions experience required Must be proficient working from the GUI and CLIFamiliarity with automation and scripting (Powershell, Python) is a plusKnowledge of virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V) and their integration with storage systems. Managed Services or consulting experience is a plusStrong background with customer serviceHigh level problem-solving and communication skillsStrong oral and written communications skills

The compensation range indicated in this posting reflects the On-Target Earnings ("OTE") for this role, which includes a base salary and any applicable target bonus amount.
