Job Description

As a Business System Analyst, you will collaborate with stakeholders to define business needs and objectives. Your responsibilities will include analyzing business processes, recommending improvements to optimize system functionalities, and gathering, documenting, and prioritizing requirements from stakeholders. You will create and manage project plans to ensure timely delivery of system enhancements and facilitate workshops and meetings to effectively elicit requirements. In this role, you will design system solutions based on business requirements, conduct gap analysis to identify discrepancies in current systems, and develop detailed documentation including business requirements, functional specifications, and test plans. You will coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) and support the rollout of new systems, resolving issues and providing troubleshooting support for system problems while ensuring compliance with organizational standards and policies in system design. Acting as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, you will monitor project progress, report on potential risks, and develop mitigation strategies. It will be essential to maintain an expert-level knowledge of business systems and their applications and provide training and support to end-users on system functionality. Qualifications for this role include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, along with a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business System Analyst. You should have proven experience in gathering and articulating business requirements, a strong understanding of business process modeling and system design, and experience in project management methodologies. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum software development methodologies, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and strong communication and presentation skills are also required. Additionally, you should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and have knowledge of software testing and quality assurance practices. Experience with wireframing and prototyping tools, an understanding of database management and data modeling techniques, and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams are important. A certification in Business Analysis or a related area is a plus, as well as a willingness to learn new technologies and tools as required.
