Job Overview:
The Business Development Manager (BDM) will be responsible for expanding the company’s market presence by identifying, appointing, and managing distributors, retailers, and channel partners. The role involves achieving sales targets, driving brand visibility, and ensuring effective distribution of products in the assigned territory.
Key Responsibility Area:
Identify and appoint new distributors, super stockiest, and channel partners.
2. Develop and maintain strong business relationships with distributors and trade partners
3. Monitor distributor performance and ensure product availability across the market.
4. Negotiate trade terms, margins, and credit policies with channel partners.
5. Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
6. Expand market coverage by entering new territories and channels.
7. Develop trade schemes and promotional activities to drive sales.
8. Ensure proper placement, visibility, and merchandising of products at retail outlets.
9. Monitor competitor activities and provide market intelligence reports.
10. Conduct market visits to track performance and resolve issues.
Key Skills
1. Strong knowledge of FMCG distribution and channel sales.
2. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
3. Proven track record of Primary & Secondary channel appointment, Territory expansion and sales target achievement.
4. Experience in handling modern trade, general trade, and e-commerce will be an advantage.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
