Position Overview:

The Senior Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving organizational revenue, expanding the client base, and overseeing high-value sales activities in the luxury retail and interior design domain. The role demands a strong combination of strategic sales planning, relationship management, industry networking, and premium client handling.

This role requires a seasoned professional with deep understanding of luxury consumer behavior, design aesthetics, premium retail operations, and corporate project requirements. The candidate will work closely with senior leadership, design teams, and marketing departments to ensure consistent business growth and exceptional client experience.

Key Responsibilities1. Business Development & Revenue Growth

  • Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies to achieve monthly and annual revenue targets.
  • Identify new business opportunities across premium residential, corporate, hospitality, and developer segments.
  • Expand market presence through targeted outreach, networking, lead generation, and partnerships.
  • Ensure consistent pipeline development and conversion of high-value leads.

2. Client Acquisition & Relationship Management

  • Conduct client meetings, site visits, design brief discussions, and presentations to showcase product portfolios and design capabilities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with elite clientele, architects, interior designers, contractors, and corporate stakeholders.
  • Manage key accounts by understanding client expectations, ensuring timely communication, and offering personalized solutions.
  • Deliver an exceptional luxury customer experience at every stage of the sales cycle.

3. Proposal Development & Commercial Negotiation

  • Prepare high-quality proposals, BOQs, and quotations in collaboration with design, technical, and costing teams.
  • Lead price negotiations, payment terms, project timelines, and closure discussions with clients.
  • Ensure all proposals align with brand standards, design integrity, and cost guidelines.
  • Monitor commercial feasibility, profitability, and compliance in every project.

4. Sales Strategy, Planning & Reporting

  • Develop sales action plans based on market insights, customer demand, seasonal trends, and internal capacities.
  • Track and analyze sales performance, conversion ratios, and client acquisition costs.
  • Present weekly and monthly reports to the Director/CEO with actionable insights and forecasts.
  • Provide strategic input in pricing, marketing, and product development based on client feedback and market movement.

5. Networking, Branding & Market Positioning

  • Represent the company at exhibitions, trade fairs, corporate events, and business forums to enhance brand visibility.
  • Build long-term partnerships within the design and luxury retail community.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends in interiors, architecture, premium materials, and consumer preferences.
  • Support brand-building initiatives, collaborations, and public relations campaigns.

Skills & Competencies Required

  • Exceptional Communication: Superior verbal and written communication for premium client interactions.
  • Negotiation & Closing Skills: Ability to handle high-value deals and deliver profitable conversions.
  • Strategic Sales Thinking: Strong capability to design and implement effective sales strategies.
  • Relationship Building: Proven networking ability with architects, developers, high-end clients, and business partners.
  • Market Intelligence: Experience in market research, competitor analysis, and industry trends.
  • Presentation Skills: Ability to showcase designs, concepts, and solutions effectively.
  • Customer-Centric Mindset: Experience in delivering high-standard luxury customer service.
  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of interior design, architecture, materials, and premium retail operations is an advantage.
  • Leadership & Ownership: Ability to independently drive business goals and mentor junior team members if required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, Interior Design, or related fields.
  • Certifications or additional training in luxury sales, design management, or client servicing is a plus.
  • Mandatory experience in luxury retail, interior design, architectural products, or premium lifestyle brands.

Working Conditions & Expectations:

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
