Job Description

We are looking for a results-oriented and empathetic Senior Business Development Manager to manage and grow a high-performing sales team focused on guiding students in their career decisions. This role involves leading Business Development Managers and their counselor teams to drive enrollments and revenue through meaningful learner interactions. This is a high-impact, leadership role where you'll shape sales strategy, instill purpose-driven selling, and contribute directly to NxtWaves growth in a fast-paced startup environment. Key Responsibilities: Directly responsible for the performance & growth of Manager & Associates-level executives Lead team of Managers & Associates to achieve a given revenue target Handle and manage sales & pre-sale funnel , able to identify various metrics and take business decisions to drive the region Able to analyse data and take stage wise action items, Ability to multitask. Continuously monitor and train the team to improve performance and conversions Counselling learning prospects, offering career advice, and providing a sense of how new initiative can accelerate their career. Establishing the effectiveness and uniqueness of new initiatives. Taking responsibility for ensuring the entire sales & pre-sales closing life cycle for your assigned Team. Phone/video calls, product demonstration, sales closing, pre-sales & sales relationship management fall under this category. Maintaining a detailed database of all the interactions with the leads and providing constant feedback on the quality of the leads to the respective team. Carrying weekly revenue and enrollment targets via campus invitations Driving weekly revenue and enrollment growth through strategic campus engagement initiatives. Analysing and sharing active feedback about the customer behaviour, market demands, and competition to the marketing team Handle escalations and improve customer experience Make propositions, give suggestions, and designate sales & pre sales targets and job obligations to each team member. Give prompt responses on crucial issues and suggest solutions Requirements: Proven experience of 5-10 Years and 3+ years in managing & heading sales teams An individual with excellent communication skills (written and verbal), interpersonal abilities, and presentation skills. Highly Dedicated Individuals who are hardworking and with extreme determination. Sales / pre-sales Experience with the EdTech domain is an additional advantage. People with a strong sense of empathy and great patience. People with a systematic approach to building Pre-sales / sales funnels, tracking feedback, prioritising tasks, and consistently exceeding targets within the deadlines A sales mindset, to effectively communicate NxtWaves offerings to its prospective learners and achieve revenue targets Passion for delivering the highest levels of customer service at all times.
