We are looking for a seasoned Senior BIM Architect with over 10 years of experience in architectural design, BIM modeling, and detailed construction documentation. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Revit, extensive hands-on experience producing and reviewing Good for Construction (GFC) drawings, and a deep understanding of construction processes. This role requires an architect with advanced skills in drawing coordination with MEP and structural disciplines, as well as a sharp eye for quality control and technical detailing.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the development of BIM models and GFC drawing sets using Autodesk Revit, ensuring compliance with design intent, local codes, and construction feasibility.
• Prepare and oversee accurate, buildable, and coordinated GFC drawings across all disciplines, including architecture, structure, and MEP.
• Coordinate with structural and MEP teams to resolve clashes, inconsistencies, and interface issues using tools like Navisworks, BIM 360, or other coordination platforms.
• Conduct quality checks and audits of construction drawings to ensure clarity, accuracy, and compliance with BIM standards, company protocols, and project specifications.
• Supervise the drawing issuance process, maintaining high documentation standards and ensuring timely delivery of GFC packages.
• Review detailed construction elements, wall sections, façades, joinery, waterproofing, etc., ensuring all drawings are constructible and practical on-site.
• Guide junior BIM modelers and architects in Revit modeling and construction documentation best practices.
• Participate in internal and external coordination meetings, and provide technical support throughout design and construction stages.
• Assist in updating and enforcing company BIM and CAD standards across projects.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.
• 10+ years of experience, with proven leadership in BIM-based construction documentation and coordination.
• Expert-level proficiency in Autodesk Revit for modeling, documentation, and detail development.
• Strong knowledge of construction detailing, building materials, and site constructibility.
• Demonstrated ability to manage cross-disciplinary coordination between architectural, structural, and MEP models/drawings.
• Extensive experience in preparing, reviewing, and delivering GFC drawing sets.
• Familiar with drawing protocols including title blocks, sheet organization, revision control, and drawing nomenclature.
• Familiarity with international/local building codes and BIM documentation standards (e.g., LOD 300-400, ISO 19650, BEP).
• Excellent drawing communication, QA/QC, and technical documentation skills.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with Navisworks, BIM 360 / ACC, and Clash Detection workflows.
• Working knowledge of Dynamo, AutoCAD, or other computational design tools is an advantage.
• Previous project experience in residential, commercial, infrastructure, or institutional sectors.
• Understanding of on-site construction workflows and coordination with contractors is a strong plus.
