About Role As a Senior Backend Engineer , you’ll play a critical role in architecting and developing the backend systems that power our AI-driven procurement platform. You’ll work closely with AI Engineers and Product teams to build scalable APIs, integrate AI services, and manage cloud infrastructure. From building multi-agent workflows to optimizing large-scale data pipelines, you'll be at the forefront of solving complex engineering challenges with direct business impact. This is your chance to work on high-impact features, collaborate with a visionary team, and shape the technical foundation of a rapidly growing B2B SaaS product. Job Description: Backend Architecture & Development : Design and develop robust backend systems using Python (FastAPI, Flask) , ensuring scalability, security, and performance. API Design & Integration : Build RESTful APIs and integrate with AI services (OpenAI, Claude, Hugging Face, LangChain) and third-party SaaS systems. RAG & LLM Workflows : Collaborate with AI Engineers to implement Retrieve-Augment-Generate (RAG) frameworks and optimize LLM-driven features. Database & Cloud Engineering : Manage databases, optimize queries, and deploy services on AWS ECS, S3, Lambda, and related cloud infrastructure. Agentic AI Integration : Work on backend systems supporting multi-agent AI workflows, enabling complex procurement automations.( N8N is a plus) Code Quality & Best Practices : Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following SOLID principles and scalable design patterns. Collaboration & Mentorship : Partner with frontend, AI, and product teams to deliver cohesive solutions, while mentoring junior developers. Security & Compliance : Ensure systems adhere to data privacy regulations, security best practices, and responsible AI guidelines. What we're looking for: 4+ years of backend development experience in Python (FastAPI,SQLAlchemy) . Strong understanding of API design, database architecture, and cloud services ( AWS preferred). Exposure to AI/ML technologies, LLM APIs, and RAG frameworks (preferred but not mandatory). Experience with microservices architecture and containerized deployments ( Docker, ECS, Kubernetes ). Problem-solving mindset with attention to performance optimization and scalability.
