In this role, you will play a key part in building and enhancing backend systems that power a large-scale home-services platform. You will work on impactful features such as real-time tracking, intelligent dispatching, and API integrations that serve millions of users across multiple regions. - Accountabilities:
- Contribute to backend development projects, including customer-to-supplier dispatching algorithms and real-time order tracking.
- Develop and optimize APIs for third-party integrations and internal systems.
- Design and model databases to support scalable backend operations.
- Implement improved attribute management systems and enhance availability and assignment algorithms.
- Follow an API-first mindset and contribute to end-to-end API testing.
- Participate in designing reliable and maintainable backend architectures.
- Support cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact engineering solutions.
- Requirements:
- Strong proficiency in Java, with experience using MVC frameworks such as Spring Boot.
- High comfort level with MySQL, MongoDB, and ORM frameworks like Hibernate.
- Experience with message queues (RabbitMQ) and caching systems (Redis).
- Solid understanding of RESTful services, MVC architecture, and SOLID principles.
- Strong object-oriented programming skills and experience applying design patterns.
- Proficiency with Git and familiarity with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes (a plus).
- Willingness to work with PHP 7 (Symfony, Doctrine) and take part in on-call rotations.
- Experience performing unit and integration tests to ensure backend reliability.
- Background working with microservices or large-scale applications is an advantage.
